The TELELAB is a type of a continuing education program that allows medical professionals to get distance medical learning. In other words, it is a distance learning system that gives training to professionals involved in the diagnosis of different infections. History of the TELELAB:
The AIDS rampant in the year 1997 pushed Brazil into feeling the need to offer training to professionals involved in the infection’s diagnosis. Brazil realized it quickly that professionals do need some kind of medical assistance that could help them in diagnosing the real cause of the infection. At that time, Dr Miriam Franchini was the one to organize the Laboratory Unit of the National STD and AIDS program of the Ministry of Health. After all these happenings, a multidisciplinary group that had pedagogues were brought together and a distance learning system named TELELAB was developed.
Courses Offered by the TELELAB:
The TELELAB offers a total of 16 courses that can be taken by health professionals from all around the world. The duration of each of these courses varies between 15 to 30 hours. Equipment:

Certification:
