Online MicroMasters Program – a pathway to Top Jobs

This is a new category of online Master’s level education that was initially pioneered by MIT – Massachusetts Institute of Technology with the intention of bridging the knowledge gap between higher education and the work environment. These modular programs offer a credential leading to credit and also provides learners with high-quality education from some of the best universities to help them launch and advance their careers or pursue an accelerated Master’s program.

MicroMasters by edX is a revolutionary initiative whose mission is to increase access to high-quality as well as career relevant education at affordable prices.

edX has partnered with 14 top universities that include MIT, Columbia University, Thunderbird School of Global Management, University of Michigan, Rochester Institute of Technology among others to offer MicroMasters programs enabling learners to pursue advanced education in a flexible and affordable manner. Subjects range from artificial intelligence, supply chain management and project management. The various MicroMasters courses have been created by professional edX University partners and are recognized by top companies besides leading to great career outcomes.

The MicroMasters programs were developed after close consultations with industry stakeholders in order to understand the challenges they face when hiring or developing a competent workforce.

According to the CEO of edX Anant Agarwal, the workplace environment has rapidly changed thus employers are constantly looking for highly-developed talent with career-relevant skills.

Earning a MicroMasters certificate is almost half as valuable as the traditional Master’s degree and is also a great standalone credential that enables learners to advance their careers.
