Centralized Counselling (CCMN) is an online admission process conducted by the NITs (National Institute of Technology) and CFTIs (Centrally Funded Technical Institutes) for gaining admission in M.Sc. and M.Sc. (Tech.) program. For CCMN 2020, candidates are shortlisted on the behalf of their JAM (Joint Admission Test for MSc) scores, but to verify their JAM 2020 scores candidates need to satisfy the common eligibility criteria for counselling.

CCMN 2020:

CCMN 2020 will be conducted by the Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, starting from the fourth week of April. Only JAM 2020 qualified candidates can apply for the M.Sc. programs of 20 NITs and 5 CFTIs. The last date for filling of CCMN 2020 application form is the fourth week of May. The candidates will be given a choice to fill in their desired subjects and institutes during the choice filling process of CCMN 2020 and later based on their choice filling entries, three rounds of seat allotments will take place.

Later, a National Spot Round (NSR) will take place where the applicants who either left their seats or did not pay for their counselling participation or counselling confirmation fee will be considered eligible for CCMN 2020. Moreover, the candidates who did not register for CCMN can also take part in this round. Total seats provided by the CCMN 2020 is 1779.

CCMN Eligibility Criteria 2020:

Candidates applying for CCMN 2020 must have at least 60% (General) and 55% (SC/ST/PwD) marks in the qualifying degree examination and should be qualified for JAM 2020. The reserved category (SC/ST/PwD) candidates should have their certificates while attending CCMN 2020, these applicants will also get an age relaxation of five years as per the criteria. The eligibility criteria will be different for different subjects, candidates are advised to check it for the subjects of their choice.

Application Process for CCMN 2020:

Candidates should fill out the form online carefully and verify it before submitting. They are also advised to carefully fill out the choices and institution based on which the counselling procedures are carried. After filling the form, application fee payment is necessary as without it the application will not be considered.

Choice Filling:

Choice filling procedure is very important in the registration process, the candidates are given the choices based on the data filled by them earlier. A maximum number of choices can be filled, the choices can also be rearranged before locking them. The allotment is done based on candidates’ choices and if the candidate doesn’t lock the choices before the last date, then automatically the previously saved choices are locked. Candidates are advised to lock their choices themselves.

CCMN Counselling:

After the form filling, seat allotment, counselling participation and confirmation fee payment processes the candidates who accept the seats are ought to pay the Balance Institute Fee (BIF) through the payment modes available for the allotted institute and generate Provisional Admission Letter (PAL). The candidates applying for NSR will pay the registration fees to generate Permanent Identifier (PID) after all of the processes.

CCMN cut off 2020:

Cut off marks will be released depending on the candidates’ performance in JAM 2020 and seats vacant in participating institutes. These marks containing the closing score and closing rank, will be released for the first three rounds. The remaining seats will be availed by the National spot round and Institutional spot admission.

CCMN Seat Allotment 2020:

The first-round list of the seat allotment with be issued by the second week of June 2020, second and third round list will be issued by the third week of June and the second week of July. Candidates willing to accept the assigned seats will pay the counselling participation fee through ICICI bank eazy pay, along with this, they will need to pay the CCMN counselling confirmation fee of Rs.5000. After all of the payments, the candidates will download the provisional admission letter.
