Microsoft has added 34 certifications across Azure, Modern Workplace, and Business Applications since September 2018. The remaining exams will retire on June 30, 2020.

It is recommended to complete the required exams for MCSA, MCSD, and MCSE certifications before their retirement. Existing certifications will remain on your Microsoft transcript and be moved to the “inactive” section after two years. Microsoft encourages individuals to update their profile with the new role-based certifications and offers free self-paced online training and instructor-led courses through Microsoft Learn and Learning Partners, respectively.
